How to Apply

Vanderbilt participates in the National Residency Matching Program. We only accept applications at the PGY-1 starting level via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). This is currently available to applicants through U.S. medical schools and the ECFMG.

Five residents are admitted to our categorical orthopaedic residency program each year. Accepted applicants spend their first year in the Vanderbilt Department of General Surgery (six blocks of general surgery and seven blocks of orthopaedics).
