VUMC Emergency Preparedness Training
VUMC Policy Orientation, Competency and Performance Development and The Joint Commission (TJC) require that medical center personnel complete emergency preparedness training when first hired and annually. Initial and annual training is provided online.
- VUMC Staff receive this training online in the VUMC Learning Exchange.
- VUMC School of Nursing faculty who are working in clinical areas of the Medical Center receive this training online in the VUMC Learning Exchange.
- VUMC School of Medicine faculty receive this training in the VUMC SOM Faculty Compliance Training Profile.
The VUMC Emergency Preparedness Office also provides Hospital Incident Command System Training and coordinates hospital disaster drills.
